Green Leasing Office Report

The Indian office segment has witnessed a remarkable surge in green leasing, reaching 16% in 2022-2023, a quadruple increase from the 4% recorded in 2018-2019. The dominance of GCC occupiers is evident, constituting approximately 78% of the green leases in this sector. Notably, Hyderabad and Bengaluru emerge as key contributors, jointly accounting for 64% of India's green leasing in offices. The shift towards sustainability is further underscored by the rise in green-certified office buildings, growing from 39% in 2020 to 53% in 2023.
